Lawnscaping FIT Blog Hop : Dark Blue

Morning friends!

It's the last Friday of the month which means it's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge FIT Blog Hop! We are using the color DARK BLUE and I'm so excited because it's my favorite kind of blue.

Our Blog Hop is sponsored by the adorable online store, the Ink Road! You can win a $25 gift certificate by hopping along with the FIT designers and commenting on their blogs. Please be sure to leave your email address if you are the lucky winner.  Good Luck!

Here is the card I created for the hop today.

I put my distress ink Faded Jeans to work on watercolor paper to make as dark as I liked. Next I used the largest of the Ocean Wave border dies to die the bottom of my blue piece. I stamped the largest snowflake from the Winter in the Park set around the blue piece using Versamark ink and then heat embossed using white embossing powder. I then stamped out the bench using Versafine black ink and fussy cut it out. I used my Marvy snow pen to color on snow on the bench and zapped it with my heat gun to help puff it up. I stamped the adorable robin from the Joy to the Woods set and colored him in using my Copic markers. I popped him on the bench using foam dots. I stamped the greeting from Winter in the Park using the same distress ink, Faded Jeans.

Hope you enjoyed the card for today and were inspired. Please visit the DT blogs below and comment for a chance to win!

Lawnscaping Challenges #114 : One Layer Card

Hello!! Today starts a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge and we are going with One Layer cards! EEEEEEEEKKKKK! They totally freak me out but also challenge me to the extreme!

I always want to add sequins or a die cut! You don't know how many times I reached for something to add a layer and had to smack my hand away. All in all, my card came out pretty cute but I still think it needs sequins. Hee Hee!

We are sponsored by the all amazing and talented Lawn Fawn! I love everything about this company. I was just telling a friend yesterday that I need to start a savings account specifically for them.

Now on to my card. I used the adorable set Let's Play and my Copics to create my card.

That little dog just warms my heart. She looks so much like our dog, Lily who is a Dorkie. Yes, that's on her birth certificate. She's a Dachshund + Yorkie. Her name fits her well at times. Especially when someone rings the doorbell. Completely geeks out!

I stamped the tree, dog and sentiment using Memento Jet Black ink and colored them in using my Copic markers. Completely one layer. No hidden layers here. I rounded the bottom corners using my We R Memory Keepers corner chomper and called it a day!

I hope you like what I created for you today. The rest of the design team on the blog created amazing projects so please check them out when you have a chance! All products used are listed and linked below. If you have any questions or just want to let me know you stopped, please leave me a comment. I love to read your comments!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
