I am here today to share a card for the new Sunday Stamps Challenge that starts today! We have a sketch that is fairly easy but you can do so much with to create a wonderful project!
For my card, I turned my sketched and decided to make my own background using Copic markers. I chose a red and two different green colors to just scribble across the my card stock. I then took a black strip of paper from my stash and trimmed it down to fit the sentiment from the Bundled Up set from Sunny Studio Stamps. I stamped it using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder.
I stamped the absolutely adorable penguin from the same stamp set using Memento Black Onyx ink and then colored him in using my Copic markers. Once he was finished being colored I fussy cut him out. I used my snow pen on the top of his hat to give some added dimension and a little fun.
Once I started putting the card together I decided it needed a little more so I pulled out my trusty white gel pen that always does the trick. I drew a white sketchy line between each color on the background and then added little white dots around the black panel to give the illusion of snow falling. I used foam dots behind the penguin which helped it pop off the card.
Hope you will stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the design team has created and to join in our challenge. You have two weeks to enter.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
