Boo from Essentials by Ellen

Hello and happy Saturday friends!

I am spending the long weekend in the Georgia mountains with some girl friends being crafty. It's so quiet and simply beautiful up here. I have lots of goals to get done and hope to reach all of them. The card I am sharing today is not for a design team but just for pure fun.

I used the adorable Got Candy? stamp and die set from the Essentials by Ellen holiday release along with the Stitched Film Strip die from Pretty Pink Posh to create the following card.

I seriously love those ghosts! They are the kind of ghosts that I like, adorable and cute. The background was created by stamping the 3 different size stars from the Got Candy? set using Versamark ink and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. I then applied Dusty Concord and Black Soot distress inks to the card base with my mini ink blending tool.

I die cut the Film Strip die and colored it with Spiced Marmalade distress ink. I love purple, black and orange together for Halloween. Just seems like a staple color palette for this holiday. I stamped the ghost using Black Soot distress ink and die cut them with the matching dies.  Before adhering all of the images to the card, I added a small amount of white Perfect Pearls powder to a mini mister and sprayed my background to give it some shine. You can't really see it in the pics but it is beautiful!

This is a picture of work space and a good picture of the background and all the shimmer. I adhered all the images to the card using liquid glue and foam dimensionals. The word bubble was stamped with Black Soot and the word Boo was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I used a few 4mm & 6mm marshmallow sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to sprinkle across the card. It's so fun and I can't wait to give to my son on his Halloween birthday!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! All products used are listed and linked below.
