Lawnscaping Challenge Blog Hop

It's the last Friday of the month which means it's time for another FB Inspiration Design Team Blog Hop! This is my first one as a DT member and I'm so excited to be a part of it. You should have arrived here from Kim's blog.

We were inspired by the color of Deep Red!

This blog is sponsored by the Ink Road and you have the chance to win a $25 gift certificate.

I loved working with red and found it very easy to create my card. I blended Barn Door distress ink on the sides of my card to it would match everything perfectly. Next I mixed some of the same ink with white embossing paste and used a stencil to create the background.

The waves, circle, sail boat and birds are all die cuts used to make the center piece. I positioned the sentiment so it would curve with the circle. I popped it up on the dotted panel with fun foam for added dimension.

To win the $25 gift certificate mentioned above you just have to leave a comment (please include your email address so we can reach you if you are the lucky winner) on all of the blogs in the hop. The more you comment the more chances you have to win. Below is a list of the blogs to visit and check out their amazing creations!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired! All supplies used are listed and linked below. Have a great day!

Wild Peonies from The Ton Stamps!

Hello friends!

I'm back today with a quick card to share that I created using two sets from The Ton stamps. I bought the sets a few weeks back but in all honesty was a little afraid of the flowers. I don't use flowers a whole lot but want to start so I just dove right in!

The flowers are from the Wild Peonies set and they really are beautiful. I picked out a few ink colors and just started stamping. I also tried my hand at masking the flowers which is tedious and takes time but so worth it in the end.

Once I stamped all the flowers and loved how they turned out I needed a sentiment so I turned to the Friggin Fabulous stamp set. I couldn't figure out which one I wanted to use so I had a thought to use as many as I could and I have to say it just makes me smile!

I die cut the wavy border using a hillside stitched border to really put emphasis on the flowers and make them pop. I positioned all the stamps on my MISTI tool, stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. It may be one of my favorite cards I've made in a while!

I now feel like I can conquer these flowers and see lots more cards with them soon!

Hope you were inspired by my card today! Please leave me a comment if you have any questions or just want to let me know you stopped by! Supplies used are listed and linked below!

Have a great day!
