You Are My Sunshine for Sunday Stamps

Hello and welcome back!

The post for today is for the new challenge starting at Sunday Stamps. Here is the sketch we used:

I cut my card base to make a standard top folding card. I picked a tiny polka patterned paper from a Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad called Pint-Sized Patterns Beachside. I cut it using a die from WPlus9 Sunshine Layers set that is my go-to these days! I just love the layers it makes.

Next I used So Saffron card stock from Stampin Up to die the sun from the Sunshine Layers set and a border die from the Stitched Borders 3 dies that I cut in to a banner. I cut the tag from the Lawn Fawn Tag You're It set out of white card stock and then stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn set Float My Boat. The original sentiment said 'you are my anchor' but I just masked off the word anchor to make it fit on the tag.

I die cut the word Sunshine from the Sunshine Layers set out of white card stock and white fun foam for added dimension. I positioned everything on the card to match the sketch for the challenge. Once all was glued down I added my favorite Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off the card.

The card ended up turning out better than I thought it would. I love anything paired with navy blue!

Please join us with our challenge if you can this week. Also check out what the rest of the design team created for inspiration at the blog here. As always, the products used will be listed and linked below. Thank you for stopping by!
