I didn't get a whole lot of time to play today. I have been packing and moving for the past 2 weeks. It has been a lot of long days and a lot of work. It has been worth it as I love our new home and can't wait to get all settled in.
I did have a couple of hours this evening to play along with the challenge going on at the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog for National Scrapbooking Day.
The colors together are beautiful!
I started out with a card base cut to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and scored at 5 1/2 to make a top folding card. I used Crisp Cantaloupe from Stampin Up for the peach color. For the rest of the colors on the mood board I used inks from Avery Elle and Mama Elephant.
The stamp sets that I used are from the Essentials by Ellen line that I absolutely love! Those flowers are just so beautiful no matter how they are used! My sentiment was heat embossed with liquid platinum embossing powder that makes it pop off the card.
I sprinkled different sized sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the card for some added bling and also because they are just a slight addiction for me. I love all of them!
I would've never probably paired these four colors together and that's what I love about challenges. They help me think outside the box and create things that I end up loving.
Hope it inspired you to play along as well or just to play with colors you wouldn't normally pick out. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment or just let me know that you stopped by. As always, the products used will be listed and linked below.
