Good morning and hello!
I am here today to share the challenge starting at Colour Me Card Challenge.
Each week we will have a creative colour challenge for you to get crafty and show us your best greeting cards, 3D projects, scrapbooking, digital or traditional paper crafts, costumes, etc. Only the colours we indicate may be used for your project. Neutrals such as black, gray, white, vanilla, skin colours and kraft are also welcome.
This week we are using Pistachio Pudding, Blushing Bride & Rose Red... have fun!
I really enjoyed working with these colors. Thinking of Spring makes me happy and with all of the "not so happy" things going on around me this was a nice distraction. I started out by cutting a piece of white card stock from WPlus9 to 4.25 x 8-1/2 and scoring at 5-1/2 to make a top folding card.
Next I die cut a piece of striped green paper from a Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad Let's Polka, Mon Amie using the largest Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die. Then I die cut some Rose Red, Blushing Bride and vellum card stock from Stampin Up using the Stitched Duo 3 die from Pretty Pink Posh. I also used another piece of white card stock from WPlus9 to cut a smaller tag from the Stitched Duo 3 die.
I stamped a flower image from a newer Essentials By Ellen set called Bold Blooms in Pistachio Pudding ink from Stampin Up. Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment also from a newer Essentials by Ellen set called Fancy Thanks in Versafine Black Onyx ink to give a fine crisp look.
I found some white sewing thread in my stash and attached it to the top of all my tags using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher that I don't use as much as I should. It's such a handy essential tool! I attached some Sparkling Clear 6mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh using Multi Matte Medium from Ranger.
I really am happy with the way it turned out. My creative mojo has been lacking lately and I was glad to see it back if only for a little while.
Hope you can join us in our challenge for this week! We love looking at all of your creations. You can view the rest of the talented ladies creations on the design team by clicking on the links below
