Today's post is for a new challenge at Colour Me!
We are going Monochromatic with one of my favorite colors, Soft Sky! I had so much fun making this card. It is a perfect shade of blue and worked so beautifully with my card.
My card base is cut to a standard 4.25 x 5.5 top folding card using white card stock from WPlus9. I cut a piece of Soft Sky card stock from Stampin Up to fit the front of the card. Next I die cut a scalloped frame from WPlus9 and a tag from Pretty Pink Posh out of the same white card stock.
I stamped the sentiment from from a WPlus9 stamp set in black Versafine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I wanted a very crisp impression and this ink does it right every time! I just received the set Pretty Peonies from WPlus9 a few days ago and I couldn't wait to use them.
I stamped the solid flower in Soft Sky ink and the outline of the flower in Versafine ink also heat embossing it with clear powder. The flowers were stamped on the tag and the frame and then the tag was popped up on dimensionals.
I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the solid flower to give it some extra bling. To finish it off, I sprinkled some black enamel dots from My Minds Eye on the tag.
This is a relatively clean and simple card that I just love! It has an elegant touch to it and I know exactly who it will be going to! Hope it has inspired you to play along with our challenge. You can find out all of the information here.
Thank you for stopping by! Leave me a comment if you have any questions or thoughts about my card I shared with you today. As always, the products will be listed and linked below.
Have a great day,
