It's Friday and I couldn't be happier for the weekend to finally be here. Today is also one my oldest and best friends birthday! We've celebrate many a birthdays together over the past 25 years so once again.... Happy Birthday Sherri Jo!
Today's post is for The Friday Mashup where I am a Guest Designer for the month of April.
This week's Mashup! Challenge:
- Create a project using "the sketch".
- Create a project using the "Bouncing Brayer Technique (tutorial)".
- or Mash it Up! and create a project using the Bouncing Brayer Technique and the Sketch".
The Challenge will close on Wednesday April 22nd @ 6pm EST. Be sure to read the guidelines above under "about the FM" if you are new to our Challenge and Welcome. We can't wait to see what you create with this fun Mash' Up!
I knew that I needed a birthday card so I pulled out a newer set to me from Avery Elle called Numbered Balloons to use as my focal point on my card.
I, unfortunately, do not have a brayer so creating the technique I could not do. I used the sketch as inspiration for my balloons and vellum sentiment. The paper is from a newer Echo Park 6x6 paper pad and combined with a scallop die also from Avery Elle called Dotted Borders. The ink matches the paper almost perfectly also from Avery Elle and is called Celery. A few embellishments were added to finish the card along with rounding the top two corners with my corner chomper.
The card is now on it's way to it's rightful owner who Im sure will love it as much as I do.
I hope that you will head over to The Friday Mashup blog to see what the design team has created for you! Their projects are amazing all the time! As always, the products used will be listed and linked below. Please leave a comment if you have any questions or would just like to let me know you've stopped by! I do love to hear from you :)
Have a great day!
