Tis the Season #36 - Nature's Colors

Hello and welcome back!

It's time for another challenge at Tis the Season! We make Christmas cards throughout the year to get ready for all the hustle and bustle around the holiday. It feels good to be caught up.

This weeks challenge has sort of a nature feel to it with the colors green and brown.

I will say in full disclosure that I had an extremely hard time with this one!! I literally started 4 cards only to tear them up and start over. I think it was a mixture of overthinking the colors and being cooped up in the house for the past 5 days with both boys due to school being out. After finally giving myself a little pep talk I was able to come up with something.

I used dies from Lawn Fawn from make a frame and then mashed my Simon Says Stamp kraft ink around the edges to make my own colored paper. I also did the same thing for my deer die that I just love from Ellen Hutson

I adhered the frame to my card base and then added the deer on foam dots. I used a starburst stamp and sentiment in Green Leaf from the Merry & Bright set also from Ellen Hutson. I added my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to the deer because every deer head needs some bling, right?

It's a pretty simple card and I guess that's why I am having a hard time loving it but all in all it isn't all that bad. Hope you can join us in this challenge and get ahead of the Christmas card craziness!
