We made it to the end of the week and it's finally Friday! My husband and I are having a date night with our oldest tonight. Taking him to dinner and then to see American Sniper. Its nice to have one one time with him every once in a while. He was our only for 10 years and then things got crazy once we had our youngest. I am also looking forward to the movie. I've heard really great things about it.
Today I am sharing a super simple but yet so adorably cute card! I will admit that I've gone on somewhat of a spending spree but I just can't help it with all of the cute products out there right now! In my defense, I have been selling off some of my older things so I don't feel as bad.
I decided to make a non-traditonal Valentines Day card using a new to me stamp set from Clearly Besotted. It is absolutely one of the cutest sets I've ever seen or owned!
See that cute little bumble bee? His body is a finger print. Yes, a FINGERPRINT! There is one that comes with the set or you can use your own! My 4 year old had so much fun making a card last night for one of his favorite 6 year old friend. It has been out of stock for a while so I had to grab it the minute I could find it in stock. I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, added some googly eyes and then covered his stripes with some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. He was stamped on some paper from Echo Park's 6x6 Bundle of Joy Girl paper pad. It has stripes and polka dots all in different girl colors. I die cut the yellow piece using a new die from Winnie & Walter. It will be my new go-to die!
Next I used another amazing die from Pretty Pink Posh called PeekABoo. It scores and cuts to make a hidden pocket to put something behind it. You can see more about it here. It can be used in so many ways. I chose to put a sentiment behind mine!
It's simple but sometimes it's nice to just make something with not a whole lot of thinking put in to it. I adhered the yellow panel to the top left of the card base for something a little different. I drew some lines around the bottom and right side with my Memento Black pen so it wasn't so stark white. And no card would be complete without sequins also from Pretty Pink Posh. I'm obsessed. I admit it.
Hope you were inspired today. It has been said that I'm a very bad enabler and I'll take that name :)
As always, the products used will be listed and linked below. Please leave me a comment so I know that you stopped by today. I love reading all of them. Have a great day!
