Valentines Day Goodies

Hello and welcome!

Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day project. Yes, I am already thinking about the next holiday. It's what us crafters do. We are always one step ahead. Our minds do not stop thinking about what we can create and share with our readers.

I wanted to do something different today other than a card. There are so many fun ways to create using candy. We had some leftover Hershey chocolate bars from our NYE party that I decided to use those as my focal point. I've seen so many cute ideas for wraps around the bars that I wanted to make one of my own.

I have a good bit of 6x6 pads that are Valentine's themed that I want to try and use this year. I know that it's frowned upon to use products that are older or discontinued but I've got to start using some of what I have. I was able to find this paper on an Etsy store and it is linked below.

The paper is from an American Crafts collection called XOXO. It was released in 2012 so it's an old one for sure. I like to buy paper more than use it which is why I'm on a mission to use all of my old products. I loved the small hint of polka dots that wouldn't over power the wording.

I used a Winnie & Walter cutaway die from their The Big, Bold & Happy set to create the happy word. I was going to leave it plain white but decided it needed some bling to it. I bought some Clear Rock Candy glitter this past week and couldn't wait to use it! I dipped the die in some Versamark ink and glittered away! I then stamped the sentiment valentines day in some Memento Tuxedo Black ink which is from the same stamp set. I wanted an extra something but not too much so I went with some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh which I think I may have a slight crush on! They are my go-to and absolute favorite to reach for with a project.

The small notecard is just a little something personal to give your recipient with a sweet note inside. The dimensions are 6x3 and scored at the 3 inch mark. I covered it with another piece of the red paper and die cut the side using a zig zap border die from Avery Elle that cuts and embosses. This time I used the die cut word love from Winnie & Walter covering it in the Clear Rock Candy glitter and stamps from The Big, Bold & Happy stamped in black ink. Finished it off with the same beautiful sparkling clear sequins.

Simple and easy project that any loved one would enjoy receiving. Hope this has inspired you to start thinking about the upcoming holiday and what you would like to create.

As always, products used will be listed and linked below. Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think or if you have any questions about the projects.

Happy Stampin,

Angel
