Hello and welcome.
It is finally Friday and it's extra special because my Mama is coming to visit this weekend. It was an unexpected trip which makes it more exciting. I was wide awake at 6am for various reasons so I decided to play in my craft room for a bit.
There is a DT call going on at Pink Paislee right now so I thought I would make a card using some of their products. What I used today is an older collection but still one of my favorites.
I used a 6x6 paper pad called Color Wash and it is just beautiful. The entire collection has a water color look to it and the colors are just beautiful. I went with this pink and orange arrangement as I wanted to do something elegant.
I cut the card to be a top folding as it's the design I use the most. The base is cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I used a doily behind my tag that is a die cut from Pretty Pink Posh which I popped it up on some foam dimensionals. The sentiment is from the matching stamp set also called Color Wash from Pink Paislee. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder to make it pop.
I finished it off with some white satin ribbon, sequins and rounded the corners at top. This is a change from my normal cutsie and whimsical cards that I like to make. It's nice to step outside the box every once in a while.
Now I've got to get ready for my Mama's arrival. My 4 year old is still sleeping and it's 9:10 so I'm taking advantage every which way I can!
Thanks for stopping by today. As usual the products used will be listed and linked below. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I do love reading them.
Have a great day,
