I am back today to share a card for the new Sunday Stamps Color Challenge that begins today.
It's time for hearts, pinks and reds to make their appearances in full force! Valentines Day is right around the corner and us crafty folks like to plan ahead. I did not disappoint with my card. It's got a lot of red and hearts.
I always love when I get to play with my water colors paints! I just love the way they look with any projects. I have one of the cheaper sets right now but hopefully will get one of the better ones soon.
I painted the top of the card and then die cut a circle in the middle. I did not originally start out to make this a shaker card but it just always seems to work out that way.
I die cut the word love and the small hearts in the shaker with some red yardstick. Once the shaker was all put together I added some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and the hearts. I attached love to the front of the shaker and then stamped the sentiment in an Avery Elle ink called Khaki. The small hearts were stamped in the same ink. I added more sequins around the outside and tied some linen bakers twine around the card.
I love the kraft, red and white together. They all compliment each other very well.
Hope this has inspired you to play along with us this week. We would love to see what you create. Head over to the blog and see what else the Design Team has created for you as well.
As always, the products used will be listed and linked below. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think. I enjoy reading all of them!
Have a great day!
