DD#96- "Your Choice" Week

Good morning friends. I hope this post finds you in good spirits today. It's a dreary Saturday here in Georgia. I have a hard time getting motivated when days start out like this. Thankfully the house is clean, most of the laundry is done and no activities are planned for outside.

The one thing that does make this Saturday exciting is that there is a new challenge over at Dynamic Duos! It is "Your Choice" week and I had so much fun with my colors!!

I love the color Gumball Green. It pairs nicely with so many colors that I had a hard time picking the one I wanted to use with it. I first went with yellow (Daffodil Delight) but it seemed to clash a bit and then I went with blue (Midnight Muse) but it didn't seem really shout Spring like I wanted it to. I figured that pink (Pink Pirouette) was my best bet and I was so right! I love, love, love how it turned out!! I used the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments to create my card.

I used a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to make my own background and I have to say I was a little giddy when I finished with it. I like to take a step back and look at something when I'm done and it either gets a big smile or a frowny face. Cheesy, I know.

I was in need of a birthday card for a friend and I just love this sentiment from the Just Sayin stamp set. I could've used the Banners framelits but ended up just free handing it. It all came together very quickly and I guess that's what happens when you have great colors, great sketch and awesome products to work with.

Here is a picture of the sketch that I used if you would like to use this one as well. Just click on the image and it will direct you to their website.

Hope you can find some time this next week to join us and show us your creativity and what color you choose to use with Gumball Green.

Head on over to the other ladies on the design team and see what they have to share with you today.

Our challenge ends on Thursdays at Noon (PDT).  We have a few rules to keep things fun and fair!

1. Any project is welcome...paper crafts, scrapbooking, digital, or crafts...

2. Please ONLY use the two colours listed for your project. Neutrals are welcome.

3. Combine us with as many other challenges as you would like, except other colour challenges.

4. Please add our graphic to your blog with a link back to us.

5. Any offensive or inappropriate posts will be deleted respectively. Thank you.

I can now do cards throughout the year and be ready when it is time to send out cards! Won't you join us?

For today we are showcasing a sketch

I love that I am able to use all of my Christmas stash more than a few months now. I have so much and it needs to get used!

DD #95- Triple Threat Week

Wow! I am so late on this post! Another wedding in my family this weekend. The boys and I traveled 5 hours to Cairo, Ga to see my cousin get married. It was such a great time with family we don't get to see very often.

Since I'm running behind this will be very short! I've got laundry, grocery shopping and cleaning that needs to get done today!

I used the color Pink Pirouette as I don't have any Pale Plum. It isn't exact but it worked for this project.

I just love the way it turned out. I am so ready for Spring and all the beauty that it brings with it.

Hope that you will join us this week. Head on over to the rest of the ladies on the design team and see what they have made for you!

Our challenge ends on Thursdays at Noon (PDT).  We have a few rules to keep things fun and fair!

Rainy Sunday

Sundays are good for relaxing but rainy Sundays are amazing for crafting! I did just that!! I worked on a card for not one but TWO challenges. One challenge I've entered a few times and the other will be my first time.

The inspiration for the card is from Just Add Ink which is to use products from the SaleABration extravaganza that is going on over at Stampin Up until the end of this month.

The sketch came from Freshly Made Sketches and looks something like this...

I do love the simplicity of this one. I also love the products that I used to make the card. Just so cute!!

The hubby headed out of town today for work. So jealous as he will be in London for an entire week! It's going to be a long week playing single mom but so thankful that he has job that allows me to stay home with the boys.

Speaking of those boys.... it's time to get them ready for bed since Monday morning comes very early! Hope this has inspired you to check out some challenges and make something fun!

Happy Stampin!

DD #94 - Black & More Mustard

Happy Saturday! It's been a busy morning here with cleaning rooms, bathrooms and finishing up laundry for the week. I'm sure that just like it is in your house...laundry is never-ending! I think there is a leprechaun that sneaks in to our house every other night or so and adds extra clothes to our baskets! Our maybe it's just that I live with a stinky teenage boy and a toddler who gets dirty very easily.

It's time for another Dynamic Duos  challenge! It's Black Tie week so they colors are dark. I do like my bright colors but these ended up working out pretty well on my card! I was also able to use a stamp set that I've never used.

I had to use the color Crushed Curry as More Mustard is a retired color and I just didn't have any laying around. They are very similar in color so it worked out just fine.

I looked at this card over and over and over until I had to finally stop obsessing about it. It is definitely out of my comfort zone but I guess that's what challenges are all about, right? I said when I first bought this stamp set that I would never sit and cut this flower out. Well, I proved myself wrong! It actually wasn't all that bad. A lot easier than I thought and I love the layered look it gives the card.

I hope that you will join us this week. Even if you think these colors don't work for you just try it. You never know. Try to also find a stamp set you've never used or rarely use. You could find that you actually really like it!

Head on over to the ladies that I work with on this design team and check out their creations!

Our challenge ends on Thursdays at Noon (PDT).  We have a few rules to keep things fun and fair!

Love You To The Moon & Back

Thank goodness it's finally Friday. I do love the weekends. There is so much that can be done as a family. We are suppose to get some rain this weekend but hopefully it won't keep us inside for too long. The hubby is leaving for London on Sunday. So jealous that he gets to go there for an entire week even if it is for work!!

Today I am sharing a card that I'm entering in to two different challenges. One is a color challenge from Colour Me...! and one is a sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!

I think this is the first time I've entered both challenges. I look for new ones all the time because I find myself enjoying all the different things each one has to offer.

Here are the colors and sketch that helped me create my card.

The Midnight Muse and Tangerine Tango are perfect together!! It could be that I'm drawn to those color for other reasons and it could have something to do with the Florida Gators. The blue is a little darker than their colors but it will do just fine!

I just love the way my card turned out and I hope you will also!

I love the new Arrows embossing folder and that stamp set is my absolute favorite! I've been saying that for as long as I can remember! Now it's time to get ready for the day and head out with my youngest for a play date!

Hope you are having beautiful weather wherever you are today.

Happy Stampin

Hello Floral Frames

It's a beautiful day here in Georgia but it is so windy! I'm thinking my house may take off and fly at some point. I have always wanted to go to the Emerald City so it might be fun!

I was at my parents house this past weekend and we had a chance to be crafty. My mom wants to learn more about making cards and I couldn't be more excited to show her! This is the card that we worked on together to make.

I have the Daydream Medallions stamp set and she has the Floral Frames Framelits. We do make a really good team. I love the way it turned out. I guess it's a definite that I have to get those framelits. Time to place another order and that can't be too bad, can it?

The colors worked so well together! Thanks Mama for your help on this one.

If you want to get your hands on this stamp set, framelits or any of the colors shown here, check out my website HERE. There's a whole lot of exciting deals going on at Stampin Up right now!!

You can see the Paper Pumpkin offer here! A free gift is involved so don't miss out!

Sale-A-Bration is going on until March 31st which means you get something free with every $50 purchase! Great products are ready for you to choose from!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please come back again.

Dynamic Duos #92 {Rose Red & Midnight Muse}

Good afternoon! Hope everyone is having a great day and have beautiful weather wherever you are. We are having a rather dreary day here in Georgia but I'll take it over rain.

Today I am working on unpacking from my weekend scrapbook from last week. I'm also working on making my own color coach from all my Stampin Up papers. I'm having a little bit of a hard time figuring out some of the colors that are so close together. I will be sharing it with you in the next few days.

Saturdays are new challenges over at Dynamic Duos. It is Bold and Cheery week and the colors are:

I thought I would have a bit of a problem matching these two up but once I paired them with white I think it turned out beautifully!

I've got a bunch of things to share coming up this week on my blog. Stay tuned! Please head over to all the other ladies on the design team to see what projects they have to share this week.

Our challenge ends on Thursdays at Noon (PDT).  We have a few rules to keep things fun and fair!
