CCMC291 Sketch Challenge - Hi

I don't think I'll ever figure out how or why the weekend goes by so fast! I feel like we were all just arriving here for weekend to start and now we are starting to pack up to leave. I look forward to this weekend every. single. year! These women have been good friends and we are like a little crafty family.

I didn't get as much done as I wanted to but it was so much fun and relaxing. In a nutshell, it was completely worth it! I got a chance to finish a card for another challenge.

I really liked the sketch as I thought it was a pretty easy one and I knew I didn't have a whole lot of time left to get another card done.

I absolutely love this paper pack! The colors are so fun and bright! I also love the small banner and stamp set that goes along with it! The small flowers never ever get old either. I have used them so often for so many different projects!!

I am home now and already snugging with my baby. I think he missed his Mama. The oldest even said he missed me. That never happens so I'll take it. Back to reality tomorrow and waking up to an alarm clock. Boo!

Hope you have a great evening.

Happy Stampin!

Gee, Thanks!

I do love my Saturdays when I get to post about a new challenge for Dynamic Duos! Another one is underway this week and the colors are just beautiful!!

The lighting during the day is just so amazing!! I have got to stop doing cards at night when its dark.

The background paper is done with a stamp set that is way too old and I don't think was ever used. Terrible, I know, but so true. I just used it randomly with Versamark Ink and I just love the way it turned out!! I got the idea from Jennifer McGuire because she has amazing how-to videos that you can find here! She's amazing in so many different ways!

Head on over to our challenge and join us this week. Also check out the rest of the ladies on my team.

Our challenge ends on Thursdays at Noon (PDT).  We have a few rules to keep things fun and fair!

1. Any project is welcome...paper crafts, scrapbooking, digital, or crafts...

2. Please ONLY use the two colours listed for your project. Neutrals are welcome.

3. Combine us with as many other challenges as you would like, except other colour challenges.

4. Please add our graphic to your blog with a link back to us.

5. Any offensive or inappropriate posts will be deleted respectively. Thank you.

Hope you will join us this week!!

Thanks

Enjoying a weekend in the mountains with girlfriends. They have all been coming to this place for 10 years! This is only my 3rd but I feel like I've known them all for 10 years. Its a wonderful group of women who enjoy the same craziness of crafting as myself.

We got here yesterday but between all the hugs, catching up and getting settled I didn't get a whole lot done. I am determined to get crafty and get things accomplished!!

I finished a card this morning for 2 different challenges. The sun is shining bright and it was great lighting for my pictures.

I am entering my card in to challenges for Seize the Sketch and The Friday Mashup. The sketch was different but I loved how it turned out in the end.

I love the font on the sentiment. The whimsical look to it works so well with the colors I picked. I love the yellow, treys and red. So bright and fun!

Headed back to work on more challenges! Stay tuned for my blog post and project for the new Dynamic Duos challenge this week. Our colors are so fun and springy!

Happy Stampin!

Thank You (DD #90)

It's Saturday and the sun is shining!! It is a great day!! We still have snow and ice all over the ground but there is lots of sun in our future. I wished for snow a few posts back and I can say with a great big smile on my face that my wish was granted. We got almost 6 inches this past week. It was so beautiful all over our backyard and neighborhood!

Here are a few pictures to share with you.

This is the side of our house looking at our neighbors yard.

This is our backyard with Lily's paw prints all in the snow.

This is our back yard all covered with snow and ready for the boys to go sledding!!

Caleb talked me in to sledding down the big hill in the back of our neighborhood! Heres a picture before we headed down really fast!!

Snow much fun!!

Today is also another Dynamic Duos challenge. I just love that I get to show off the new colors and share my project with you every single week. Being a part of this design team has made me so happy in so many different ways!!

The colors for this week are Daffodil Delight and Black with an option of a shaped or fun fold card.

I had a little bit of a challenge with these colors and the fold of the card but all in all I love the way it turned out and I hope you do as well!!

The card opens with two panels on the side. The belly band holds it together perfectly. I've never made a card like this one so it was a fun challenge all the way around! I hope this inspires you to think outside of the box and make a fun fold or shaped card.

Check out the other awesome ladies on the design team as well. You won't be disappointed!!

Unique Snowflake for DD #89

Good afternoon friends! My little sister is getting married today! I can't believe that she is old enough to be getting married. In my mind, she is still 10 running around the house in pigtails. Lots going on around my parents house today.

This will be a short post as I am being put to work. I tried to avoid getting too involved but that didn't work.

The challenge this week is Subtly Yours and these are the colors

And here is my take on the challenge.

These colors are hard as I don't use pastels a whole lot. I guess that's why I like challenges as it makes me think outside my normal box in crafting. Head on over to all my design team members blog to see what they have created.

DD#88- Real Red & Island Indigo

Good morning! It's finally Saturday and that means its time for another fabulous Dynamic Duos challenge. This week our colors are Bold & Cheery! I am thankful for something cheery. In my last post, I talked about wanting snow and well my prayers were answered. Atlanta got blasted with a winter storm last week and we got 3 inches. No, it's not a lot compared to some but it is to us Southerners. If you watched the news you saw the nightmare of traffic jams, wrecks, and all the ice on the roads. Thankfully, we were not a part of all that and were home to enjoy all the white fluffy stuff.

Here are a few pictures from our fun in the snow!

It was a fun filled day. We tried to build a snowman but realized we were not an expert with fluffy snow. So, unfortunately I don't have a Frosty picture for you this time!

And now that I got off track let's get back to our colors.... hee, hee

Aren't they just fabulous together? Since Valentines Day is around the corner I wanted to do something to celebrate the holiday. Treat bags are always fun to make and little cards to go with your treats bags are a must!

All of the products shown here are from Stampin' Up! Some are brand new while some are retired. I do apologize that most of the stuff used here are from retired products. I just can't seem to part with my old stuff! I guess you can say that when it comes to craft supplies I am a hoarder and I know it!!

Here are a few more shots and close ups of my fun projects!

I really do like the way they turned out. I can't wait to hand them out to my friends in my bible study group. You are never too old to give away Valentines goodies, are you?

Please head on over and visit my other design team members whose projects are just as inspiring!
