Merry Christmas

Good morning and welcome!

I am sharing a card today for two challenges that I am new to joining. One is a sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and the other is an inspiration picture from Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.

I loved both of them so I decided it was time to join in on the fun and I'm so glad that I did. I loved that the inspiration colors were something other than red and green. I have been doing Christmas cards for some time now and I am getting burnt out on the traditional colors.

I started out with a standard card base. I then cut a piece of Audrey Blue card stock from SSS to slightly smaller on the sides. I inked up a background stamp from Hero Arts in Versamark Ink to give a tone on tone look. I cut two circles from the Lawn Fawn circle stackables die set. On the smaller one, I used two different distress inks for a water color look.

The wreath is from Cozy Christmas by the Essentials by Ellen line at Ellen Hutson. I heat embossed it in white to make it pop. I used a sentiment from the Winnie & Walter set called Happy Christmas and also heat embossed it in white on a piece of the Audrey Blue paper and popped it up on dimensionals. I added two small gems to each side of the sentiment to help it stand out.

I absolutely love the water color part. It looks so cool and still looks good for Christmas. The background is subtle but still stands out so well. All in all it turned out exactly like I wanted it to.

Hope this card will inspire you to try different colors and check out the challenges above. If you like what you see, please leave me a comment. I love reading all of your thoughts. As always, the products used will be listed and linked below.

Happy Stampin,

Angel
