Today's card design is brought to you by a new Lawnscaping Challenge going on now and it's all about white this time. Talk about a good challenge!!
Creating a card with mostly white and limited color is not easy at all but it was a lot of fun working on it. I made lots and lots of mistakes and changed this card at least 5 times but I'm happy with the outcome and excited to show you.
All in all this turned out to be a pretty simple card to create once I stopped over thinking it and just created. I embossed the front panel with a snowflake folder and then cut out a circle with a Lawn Fawn circle stackable. I placed a piece of clear acetate behind the circle. Next I cut out the word thanks from a Lawn Fawn die multiple times to give it some dimension. I adhered it across the circle with foam tape for even more dimension.
On the top die, I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it some shine. It doesn't show up very good in the pictures but I promise it's there. Next I stamped a sentiment from another Lawn Fawn set called Making Frosty Friends. It was stamped in an Avery Elle ink called Mint To Be and it is so pretty. I cut it in to a banner and placed it below the the die. I finished it off by adding my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to a couple of the embossed snow flakes to give them extra shine.
Here you can kind of see the shiny part of the thanks die and the glitter on the snowflakes.
I hope that this will inspire you to check out the challenge and join in on the fun.
