Happy Holidays with Simple Stories

Good morning! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Today starts a new challenge at Tis the Season Challenge Blog and it is a sketch this time around.

It's so simple yet I love this sketch so much. I love tags and ribbon so this was exciting for me to work with and create. I went straight to my paper pads and picked a new one by Simple Stories. It has traditional and nontraditional colors that are just so pretty.

I decided to go with a simple layout as I was going to be used bold colors and adding embossing. I chose a Cherry Cobbler Cut & Ready card base from Stampin Up. I embossed with a Christmas Backgrounds embossing folder from Tim Holtz. I love this folder and use it every single year. I then chose the Simple Stories DIY Christmas paper pad and accessories.

Once everything was put where it needed to be I adhered and rounded the corners with my We R Memory Keepers corner rounder and added some white sewing thread in between the the two tags for a little extra character. Originally I hadn't planned on embossing the red piece but I'm so glad I did.

I really like how this turned out and think it's something I could easily make quite a few of to produce for extra special Christmas gifts. Please leave a comment letting me know what you think. I always enjoy reading your comments. As always, the products used will be listed and linked below.

Happy Stampin,
