I have take a break from making cards and have been churning out some Christmas tags. We are getting a head of the craziness and getting gifts earlier than usual so I want to have tags ready! I have had so much fun making them these past few days.
I started out with this tag.
I cut out a Pretty Pink Posh stitched tag with some water color paper and used Barn Door and Tattered Rose distress inks to give it some color. I stamped the word peace with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I bought a pack of small jingle a few weeks ago and knew that they would be so cute as a wreath on a card. I adhered them to the tag by sewing them on and then used some glossy accents to make sure they were nice and steady. I used some thread also from Pretty Pink Posh and tied a bow for the wreath. Finished the tag off by adding some green sequins and chevron ribbon also by Pretty Pink Posh. Is it obvious that I love all products from that shop? I do. Oh so much!
Next up is a completely different tag for Christmas but one that I really like all the same.
For this card I used the same tag die and water color paper but this time with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters distress inks. After it was dried, I added some water drops to the card and love the way it reacted with the inks to make these water drops. I die cut the houses from Home & Hearth set by the Essentials by Ellen line. The stars and word love are from the Brushstroke Christmas set and stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. This color is beautiful in person and the picture does not do it justice! I finished it off with some sparkling clear sequins from PPP and tied a white satin ribbon from Stampin Up.
My last and final one which I think is my favorite.
Oooo, ahhh. So pretty. I love the festive look of this one. I used the other part of the Stitched Duo die that has these 6 windows in it. Instead of distress inks, I pulled out my pink and red gelatos which are so fun to use. I made an ombre look from light to dark. I stamped the sentiments from the Merry & Bright stamp set from EBE in Versafine Onyx black ink to get a very crisp image. I die cut the small stars and hearts from the Home & Hearth set and adhered them I'm the remaining windows. I added some glitter from my Wink of Stella glitter pen and then covered them with glossy accents to help them shine. I had to add some sequins so I went with sparkling clear and red stars. I tied the red chevron ribbon in a bow and called it finished!!!
I can not wait to add them all to my Christmas gifts this year for the special people in my life. Hope they have inspired you to get started on your tags or cards for the upcoming holiday. Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think.
As always, all products used will be listed and linked below. Hope you have a great evening.
