Season's Tweetings

Hello. Thanks for taking a minute to stop by.

I had some time to create a project for one of my favorite challenge blogs, The Friday Mashup.
This week is challenging us to make a tag with the option of throwing in some bling.

I totally love this challenge and who wouldn't. Bling makes everything better.

I pulled out a stamp set that I bought months ago but have actually never been used. Can anyone relate to that madness? I love it when I bought it so why haven't I used it. That is the question.

Can you see why I loved it? Those birds are just so adorable! They are also small enough that when coloring them with my Copics I didn't feel like I was totally ruining them. I have a love/hate relationship with those wonderful markers but that's for another time.

I used a die set from Pretty Pink Posh  to make the die. I cut one without circles using Very Vanilla  card stock from Stampin Up and one with the circles from a paper pad by Simple Stories called Cozy Christmas. I love the texture of the wood. Next I stamped each of the birds using Memento Rich Cocoa ink so I could color in with Copics. I stamped out the sentiment on more Very Vanilla card stock also using Rich Cocoa.

I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen on the birds scarf and rim of hat. I then used a Snow Pen from Marvy to add a little fun to the top of the birds hat. I hole punched a hole at the top and used some Pomegranate sheer ribbon and Caramel twine from American Crafts to finish off the tag.

I can't wait to adhere this to my one of the presents for my boys at Christmas. It will be a favorite. I hope this inspires you to join the challenge over at The Friday Mashup. There are only a few days left so head over there to get all the details.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my tag and I appreciate any comments that you leave for me.
As always, all products used will be listed and linked below. Have a great day!
