Happy Saturday friends! Thanks for stopping by today.
I am sharing a quick and easy card that would be so cute for a young child at Halloween. This holiday is one of my favorites as my oldest boy is born on Halloween. It's so fun to celebrate with him. He will be 14 this year. Getting older way too quickly....
I made a card similar to the one I am sharing today that will go live tomorrow for the Sunday Stamps challenge which you can find details on here. Once done with that one I just kept going.
Don't you just love that sweet little ghost? Lawn Fawn knows how to take something usually presented scary and turn it in to something so adorable! He is from a stamp set called Spooktacular which will be linked for you below.
I used Basic Black card stock from Stampin Up to make a top folding card and embossed it with a retired Stampin Up embossing folder. I try to use retired items often but this one is just too cute to pass up from time to time. Once embossed, I cut a circle towards the bottom of the card with one of dies from Lawn Fawns Circle Stackables. I die cut the word boo with another set from Lawn Fawn called Quinns ABCs in a paper from their paper pad called Sweater Weather. Can you tell I love Lawn Fawn?
After I placed the boo in the center of the circle, I stamped the cute ghost from Spooktacular in Memento Jet Black ink and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I glued his top half above the circle so he would hang when the card is open. I adhered some googly eyes to give him some extra cute factor. I always have to finish up with sequins so I used Marshmallow from Pretty Pink Posh to bling it up a bit.
That's it. Very simple and could be produced quickly if need be. I'm headed to make some Halloween cookies with my 4 year old who loves to be in the kitchen with his Mommy. Hope you've enjoyed this card today and will leave me a comment with your thoughts.
