The Best Is Yet To Come

Hello and good afternoon. Hope all is well in your world wherever you may be today.

I've been unable to be in my craft room for the past few days and I've been in withdrawals. The card I am sharing with you today is just one of those that turned out perfect. I had such a fun time creating it and I hope that you enjoy it as well.

The products used to make this card come from 3 different companies which all happen to be some of my favorites. I love how they can all come together to make some thing great.

The card base was cut to make a top folding card as that is my go-to card these days. I stamped and and colored the cute little monkey with my Copic markers. Next I stamped and colored the balloons with all different Copic color markers.

I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen on the red balloons, glossy accents on the blue, white gel pen on the green and sequins on the yellow. I wanted each of them to stand out. Next I die cut the clouds from a Simon Says Stamps die. I think my favorite part is the grass.

I cut out the grass using the grassy borders die from Lawn Fawn. This has to be one of my favorite border dies and I use it every chance I get. I cut it out of water color paper as I just love the texture it gives. Next I colored both of them with my green Copics to give it some depth and dimension. I then stamped the first part of the the sentiment using white embossing powder and finished the last part with onyx black Versafine ink.

I finished up the card by adding lots of different embellishments. I used sequins by Pretty Pink Posh that I always reach for when completing a card. I used my white gel pen to make faux stitching around the edge of the card. I thought I was finished with it but decided there was a lot of empty space so I went to stamps and decided on a few birds. I used the birds from an older Lawn Fawn set called Life is Good. I thought it finished it off just right. One of my favorites in a long time!!

Thanks for stopping by today so I can share my creation with you. Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think. I do love reading the sweet comments. As always, the products used will be listed and linked below.

Come back again,

Merry Christmas

Good morning and welcome to another Tis the Season Challenge! It is a color challenge and these colors for Christmas were definitely a challenge!

I am not a pastel color girl at all. I don't have girls so these are rarely used in my world. I am not even a pink girl myself so thinking outside the box was a must with this one. Once I finished, I realized it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but I think the stamp set is what helped.

This awesome stamp set is called Bokeh Dots and it was designed by Julie Ebersole and are sold at ellenhutson.com. It's part of a new release that is just amazing in every way. You can check out the entire release HERE. So now back to my card....

I stamped out the bokeh images with So Saffron and Pool Party inks from Stampin Up. I did not have any rhyme or reason for where I placed them. Just kind of went where my eye thought it would look good. Once I was finished with the stamping, I die cut the words Merry Christmas out of Pink Pirouette card stock also from Stampin Up. I used the die set Merry & Bright also from the Essentials by Ellen release.

I glued it on using glossy accents to make sure that it would stick. That stuff is amazing when it comes to getting intricate pieces to stay put. I colored the word with my Wink of Stella glitter pen and added some Sparkling Clear 6mm clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! No card is EVER complete with out sequins! It's an unwritten rule!

Hope you will drop over to the Tis the Season blog and check out what the rest of the design team members created to share with you. If you have time, please join us!
