Tis the Season #25 - It's A Sketch

Hi friends and thank you for stopping by today.

It's a new challenge at the Tis the Season blog and this time it's a sketch!

In true confession, I am late with my Design Team card. It's awful and I hate to admit it but we are close so I felt I could share this with you. See, this is my second card. I made a really cute card a few days ago but as soon as I added it to my DT blog it hit me that one thing was wrong. This card was suppose to be a Christmas theme and my card was far from that. I'll have a blog post with the original card tomorrow. Things like this happen when you have way too much on your brain.

In between bible study this morning and picking up my oldest from school I quickly threw together a card for this challenge as I really do like the sketch. It's simple yet fun!

I used new products from the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog to create this card. It's the perfect Christmas card and could be massed produce to send to all your family and friends.

The card base is from the new Cut & Ready card bases in Cherry Cobbler. They are pre-cut to 5 1/2 - 8 1/2 and sold as a set of 20. It's great to just throw together a card when you need one. All the patterned paper is from the SU Trim the Tree paper pad. The colors in here are vibrant and beautiful!

I used a piece of vellum paper to mute the red and white scalloped piece. I started out using white as my center piece but sometimes white can be so harsh so that's why I went with a piece that had some color. I stamped out one of the houses in the new Holiday Home stamp set and added a sentiment from the same set. The sequins are new from SU as well which ties in every thing together.

Hope this has inspired you to join us with our new challenge at Tis the Season!

We do have a few challenge rules we'd like to ask you to follow:
  • Your project must be a new Christmas project created for this challenge.
  • We ask that you provide a link back to our site or use the Challenge Graphic within your post.

  • You are welcome to use any brand of product you'd like.
