For today I am sharing a new stamp company. Well, at least to me it is. I am not sure how long they have been around but I'm glad I have found them. The name of the company is Pink & Main. You can find the shop HERE and the blog HERE. The owner of this shop is named Michelle and from what I have read and heard about her she is a wonderful person. I haven't officially met Michelle. We became Facebook friends by chance a few weeks back. Along side of having a stamp line she also designs die cuts for your e-cutters and there are some adorable designs in her Cloud 9 shop that can be found HERE.
It was by chance that she friended me on Facebook and then I checked out all of her fun products. Fast forward a few days. I was shopping in my local scrapbooking store (EMI Scrapbooking) and what do you think was hanging on one of her shelves? You got it! Stamp sets from Pink & Main. I gasped out loud! I told the owner my story of just finding these stamps a few days prior. She said she had met Michelle at the past CHA weekend and fell in love with her stamps and the way she conducted herself at the booth. I knew right away I had to get the stamps I had been looking at on line.
If you know me, you know that I love the Fall season. I love to decorate for it and make fun projects! So this stamp set is right up my alley!
Cuteness overload, right!! The apples, acorns, leaves and fun animals was all I needed to see. For my card I knew I had to use the owl somewhere on my card. He is just too cute to pass up.
For my card base, I used Whisper White card stock from SU. It is usually what I reach for when putting together a card. I used Walnut Stain and Tea Dye distress inks to stamp the small leaves in a falling pattern around the card. Then I sponged around the card with the Tea Dye color to give it a soft look. To help the yellow piece stand out I die cut a piece of wood paper from the Teresa Collins Life Emporium paper pad. It added just a small border but I like the contrast.
Next I stamped the same leaves in Versmark Ink and covered them in white embossing powder. I then blended Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Scattered Straw all over the paper to give it a very cool look. The embossed leaves resisted the ink and when I wiped them off you could see the bold white and I just love it!
Next I stamped the tree limb with the Walnut Stain distress ink to give it a splotchy look. Didn't want it to look too perfect. I stamped the owl in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored him in with Copic Markers (will list the colors down below). Googly eyes were a must! I couldn't resist. Just so cute!
Finished it off with the sentiment stamped also in Memento Rich Cocoa. At this point, I stared at the card. Trying to decide what it needed and after a few minutes realized it didn't need anything. I made myself get up and walk away! I can be obsessive about adding just ONE MORE THING but I just said no this time and I'm glad I did.
Hope this card inspired you to check out Michelle's stores. I really don't think you will be disappointed and you will find something there to use on your projects. As always, the supplies used will be listed below. Please leave any comments as I love to hear from anyone that has stopped by.
Have a great day and happy stampin!
