Hello Love

It's late. I'm tired. I only seem to have lots of creativity when it's late and I'm tired. It's insane but I guess I shouldn't complain too much. It helps make cute projects.

I wanted to take a few minutes to share my cute project that came out of me being tired today. Let's see what you think about it. I have been seeing so many cute techniques from all of the ladies that I follow. I always want to find the items, buy them right away, and try them as quickly as humanly possible. My husband says I'm a instant gratification girl. I guess he is right but don't tell him that...

Before I share my project, I want to brag on my oldest. Today was his last first day of middle school. Where oh where has the time gone. It seems like he was just born and I was in total shock that I was a mom. I am so proud of the boy that he has grown into and can't wait to see what lies ahead for him.

Isn't he just so handsome? Yes, I know. He takes after his Mama. Haha. That made me giggle. I do get told that he looks like me and it's a good thing because my youngest looks just like his Daddy!!

Now back to the cute card that I made today. I am entering it in to the Just Add Ink sketch challenge.

I love simple challenges because it really makes me think. I am a detailed and always have to add one more thing to my projects. When they are simple like this I have to thin know I can make it look great but with less. I take the "less is more" approach.

So I wasn't kidding about the whole cute thing! It just makes me smile when I look at it. The colors are some of my favorite color combos. I know exactly who I am going to send the card to as well.

The falling hearts are done using a stencil from Simon Says Stamp and white embossing paste. I do love using these simple products that make such a difference on a card. The patterned paper is from a Pink Paislee 6x6 paper pad that has some really cute coordinating colors and patterns. I die cut the word hello four times to give it some dimension and help it pop off card. I found some sewing thread and used it for some detail behind the word hello. It's one of those techniques that I love the look of and I didn't have to run out and buy any. My instant gratification was just across the room this time.

Well, now it's later and I'm even more tired. I've had a few thoughts about staying up later and working on something else. I may get more done than I think. We will see.

Hope you've enjoyed looking and reading about my day. Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think. I do love reading all of your thoughts and kind words. Have a great evening!
