Wish You Were Here

Happy Happy Monday. This is one of the best Mondays in a very long time. Why, you ask? Well.....
I am a Guest Designer over at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog  and I could not be more excited. I mean seriously my husband probably is so tired of hearing about this but I just can't help it!!

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 85 is a Summer Color Combo and the colors are spectacular!!
The sponsor for this challenge is the amazing Simon Says Stamp

I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do for my card because I had to make sure it was really good and that I used some fun techniques! I think that I pulled all those things off well. I hope that you think so too.

I used distress inks to make the background. On top of that I used embossing paste with a honeycomb stencil to give it some added texture. I really am loving the embossing paste and stencil technique. So many fun ways to use it. I used the map from a Lawn Fawn set called Wish You Were Here that is also one of my favorites. I used a blender pen with all my distress inks to color in the map. I am going to send this to a friend who I wish lived in Georgia with me so I used an arrow and a heart to pin point the state.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and I hope that this has inspired you to pull out your craft supplies and join in the challenge. It is a lot of fun to play along and show off your talent.

Be sure to head over to the Lawnscaping Blog to check out what the Design Team has in store for you.

Have a great day and happy stampin!
