Amazing Birthday

Good morning! This has been a long week. Spending 5 days in Utah last week causes my sleep patterns to be a little off. I've been staying up later than usual and sleeping later than usual. I've been able to get a lot done around the house so it's a win win even though I would just like to be lazy.

I did find some time to work on my craft room and put everything away that I received last week at the Stampin Up Convention. I had a small suitcase FULL of stuff! I love putting away all my fun product!

I didn't make this card for a challenge which is unusual but I needed a birthday card and I hadn't used this stamp set from Simon Says Stamp yet. It is called Happy Every Day and it has a lot of great sentiments and designs in it.

I used the straight line in the set to make a background with SSS Fog stamp pad. Trying to get those lines straight is a little harder than I imagined but I think it turned out pretty good! I used the SSS Frame die to make the small borders and the flower (also from the set) added some fun to the card. As for the sentiment, I stamped it once and really liked how it looked distressed and didn't stamp all the way. I decided to stamp again without re-inking to give it a bit of a shadow. To finish it off, I used Lemon Drop sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. They always add that extra fun that you need.

Thanks for checking out my card today and as always.... happy stampin!
