Hi, Friend

So, I just can't get enough of the newest Simon Says Stamp release! I just want to stamp, color and repeat all day long. There are so many fun projects that can be made with all of them.

Today I pulled out the new You Are Pawesome! It has an adorable dog and cat with great sentiments. I have a friend who is a huge dog lover and she is having a rough time so I felt this would be a great set to use to make her a card.

See, I wasn't kidding when I said this was adorable! That dog was just begging to be colored so I obliged! I pulled out my Copics and went to town. It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to do it and even though there are some harsh lines I smiled once I stepped away and took a good long look at it. I just had to color the leash and put a jewel on it to dress "her" up. All girl dogs need bling, right?

My creation came together pretty quickly with a color and sketch challenge from The Challenge blog.

I have never entered this one before but have always wanted to so I made today the day to do it. I love the colors and the sketch was fun to play with as well. I like using colors I wouldn't normally pair together. Lesley and the other design team members do amazing work and this time around isn't any different. Head over and check them out when you have a few minutes!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out my card today! Leave a comment and let me know what you think. I always love reading your thoughts!

Happy Stampin!

All You Need Is Ice Cream

It's the middle of what feels like a very long week. We've had busy days of swimming, laundry and today the water park. I guess you could say we are packing everything we can in to the next 8 days before school starts back. Yes, the dreaded S word is happening once again. My 8th grader is not happy that his mornings of sleeping in will soon be over.

In between cleaning bathrooms and doing laundry yesterday, I sat down for a bit to play with the Simon Says Stamp August card kit which is so incredibly cute!! It screams summer and even if it is coming to the end I can still use these to make it last a little longer.

Even though my Copics still make me nervous to use I enjoy pulling them out whenever I can. I guess I can't get any better if I don't practice. I used a couple of colors that I do have to color the popsicles/ice cream and was very happy with how they turned out.

I love the look of inlay die cutting so I pulled out the new frames from SSS recent release and used them to frame in my yummy ice cream. To finish it all off, I added a fun sentiment along with sequins, glitter pen and glossy accents. It all pulled together very well and I can't wait to find a reason to give it to someone.

If you are looking for a monthly kit, I promise you will love every single one from Simon Says Stamp. You can check out all of the information here. **I was not asked by SSS to promote this. It is just my love for their products**

Hope you have a great day! I enjoy reading your comments and would love for you to let me know what you think of today's card. Thanks!

Make Today Ridiculously Amazing

Good morning. It's time for another Sunday Stamps Challenge and this time it's all about the colors Strawberry Slush, Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette! These colors are so pretty together!

I went with a new stamp set that I received at the Stampin Up Convention last week! I can't believe it's already been a week since we were there! It was so much fun and I'm already looking forward to next year. The stamp set is called Amazing Birthday and it really does have fun birthday images!

I used the Hardwood stamp set in a non traditional color and I was pleased with how it turned out. It gives the card a subtle background and doesn't overpower the card too much. I stamped the background and dots in Versmark Ink and then used clear embossing powder to give it some shine.

Hope you will join us and play along. Head over to the blog and check the design teams card as well!
