You Make Me Happy

Thank goodness it's Friday!! The end of the week is finally here. We are headed to a cabin in North Carolina today and staying until Monday. My parents are coming to meet us and spend the weekend. I am looking forward to just having them there with us and enjoying one on one time.

I don't know if I will have time to do any challenges this weekend so I wanted to get one in today. I am playing along with The Paper Players who is celebrating their 200th challenge. What a big accomplishment for a blog. The challenge it to pick one of the challenges presented by the DT and put our spin on it.

I chose the card/sketch made my Sandy Mathis

I remember this sketch and I wanted to join in but was unable to so I'm so glad it was one to choose from this time around. Thank you Sandy! Your card is beautiful.

I stayed very true to the sketch as I was on a time crunch when making the card. It turned out cute!

Everything here is from Stampin Up! The only thing on the card that isn't is the vellum that you can barely see. It didn't want to photograph well at all! It was acting just like my oldest who hates pictures!

One of my favorite parts of the card is the big green dots. I used a new embossing folder on the white paper but felt it was still very plain. I used a finger sponge dauber to apply Pistachio Pudding in a small circle and it fit perfectly and added exactly what I wanted. It made me a little giddy when I was done.

I am glad that I am able to play along with this special challenge! I am so glad I starting participating in all the challenges that are out there as it gives me the chance to stretch my imagine and creativity. I love "meeting" new designers who are so talented. Being a part of any of the design teams has been so exciting when it has happened and anytime it happens again in the future.

Hopefully you can play along also! I love your reading your comments and hope you will let me know what you think about the card I shared with you today.

Happy Stampin,
