You Are My Anchor

Good morning and Happy Father's Day!! So very thankful for my own Daddy and for my husband who is a wonderful Daddy to our boys. I had my oldest sit down with me in my craft room last night and make his own Fathers Day card. I think he actually enjoyed it but he would never ever admit it.

He ended up doing a really good job and he can feel good about making his own card for his Daddy.

In other good news, I am honored to announce that I am now a Design Team on the challenge blog, Sunday Stamps. I have been playing along with this challenge for a while now and I am so excited about being part of the team now. I love their color combos and sketches! Always a challenge.

Today starts a new challenge on the blog and it is a sketch.

I do love when the sketch isn't too complicated. Those sketches cause me to over think and I end up with a big giant mess. It isn't pretty at all. This one worked out just right.

I did not over think this card and I love how it turned out. The colors turned out so great together! The patterned paper is from the Ahoy There 6x6 paper pad from Carta Bella which I just absolutely love. Every pattern in this line is just beautiful! I used Real Read and Whisper White card stock from SU as my rectangle piece of the sketch. The anchor and sentiment is from Float My Boat from Lawn Fawn. I find myself reaching for this set more and more.

I finished off the card with adding some brown baker's twine to hang the anchor from and it just brought the whole card to life. The enamel dots are from My Minds Eye and I love how those tiny little dots can make or break a card. They are just so fun!

That concludes my card for today! Let me know if you have any questions. Please head on over to the blog and check out what the other ladies have made for the challenge.
