Happy Fathers Day

It's only Wednesday but I swear I feel like it's only Monday. I am so very tired. Mostly tired of the sun. It can wear you slap out before you even know it. The boys and I went to the pool on Monday and we were there almost all afternoon and then we went to the water park on Tuesday for the entire afternoon. All 3 of us are pretty toasty even with sun screen being applied multiple times.

I declared today a "stay in the house and not see the sun at all" kind of day and it has been great so far. I have been able to play in my craft room and work on playing along with some challenges. The first one that I went with is from Seize the Sketch.

I love the simplicity of the sketch and I decided to do an example of a Fathers Day card since I have a couple to make.

I used papers from Fancy Pants Be Different collection which came in the Simon Says Stamp May card kit. They all coordinate so well together and gives a very masculine look. I used an old die from Stampin Up called the Peekaboo Die to hide the sentiment. The stars are from a Sizzix die called Stars #2. The green piece photographed in a brighter green than it is in person but still looks good with the other colors. The ink I used is from Heidi Swapp called Navy. It worked perfectly with the blue in the paper.

It's safe to say that although I don't do well with masculine cards that I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. Now I just have to figure out who gets this one.

Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stampin!
