Happy Birthday

Happy Happy Saturday! It is a beautiful morning here in the North Carolina mountains! We are loving the view, the cool air and having my parents here with us. Planning on enjoying the cabin before we head out to explore our surroundings.

We arrived late afternoon and set up everything rather quickly. We staked our claim in the master bedroom and the boys found their space in the basement where there are 3 sets of bunk beds. I also found the perfect table for my scrapbooking supplies. Yes, those supplies always come with me on trips.

I pulled out everything once we were settled and got to work on a card challenge for Colour Me...
The colors are subtle this time around and are beautiful together!!

I almost didn't bring all of my Stampin Up paper but I'm glad I didn't because I probably wouldn't have put Pink Pirouette in my stash to bring. It isn't a color I use often but when I do I enjoy it.

I will have to say that I am in love with the how my card turned out! It is just precious and I wish I had a little girl to give it to for her birthday! I've got to start finding people to send all of these cards to as it's starting to overflow in my craft room.

Isn't is just too cute? It just makes me smile every time I look at it. The colors are perfect together.

I used a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 white card base with Whisper White card stock. I then cut a piece of Pink Pirouette to cover the front of card and embossed it with the SU Decorative Dots EF.

Next I die cut a white piece of Whisper White card stock using a My Creative Time Stitched 3x4 Journal die. I used the big bolt stamp in the Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday set to stamp around the card randomly with Strawberry Slush and Pool Party inks.

Next I cut a smaller piece of card stock from Pink Pirouette to adhere my focal point. The robot, balloons, string and sentiment are all from the Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday stamp set. I paper pieced the dress on the robot with Strawberry Slush and Pool Party card stock and added white dots to the dress with a white gel pen. The bow on top is stamped with Strawberry Slush on Pink Pirouette paper.

The balloons are stamped with Pool Party and Strawberry Slush ink and then I die cut the Pink Pirouette ballon to give it a different texture. I popped it up and added some glossy accents to make it shiny.

I added a happy birthday sentiment and then finished it off with some enamel dots from My Minds Eye and rounding two corners with my corner rounder.

It's such a fun card that I think I may send to my aunt for her birthday. Although it is a little on the younger side I think she will still appreciate it.

Hope you enjoyed the card for today and it gave you some inspiration to join in with the challenge. I love reading your comments so I hope you will leave me one letting me know what you think about today's card. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Happy Stampin!

Angel
