I start cards all the time and don't finish them. Well, I don't finish them in time for what I originally started them for. Thankfully this time even though I started this card days ago I was able to finish it in time for a challenge.

Theres a special challenge going on over at Unscripted Sketches as they are celebrating their 5th anniversary of being in "blog land." I really liked the sketch so I decided to play along.

Here's the sketch along with the information about chances to win prizes :)

It’s easy to enter, so get those comments/emails posted, then post something you created using this week’s sketch and be entered into both drawings!  The deadline to enter is midnight (Eastern Time) Friday, April 18. Winners will be announced in next Saturday, April 19th’s post!

The card I created just kind of came together with not a whole lot of thinking on my part. That only happens every once in a while. I have to be inspired by something. The only inspiration I found for this one today was a video that I watched from Jennifer McGuire on Inland Dies (find video here). She is amazing when it comes to techniques and how to stretch your supplies.
The "thanks" on my card is the inlaid die technique and it really does take the card to a whole new level. I just love the way it looks and how much fun it is to paper pierce it all together.

The colors all mesh really well together and gives it a nice Spring look. Flowers and butterflies definitely make you think of warmer weather to come. I am very happy with the way it turned out! If you get a chance, head on over to Unscripted Sketches. Check out what the design team has created for their anniversary and enter to win their prizes!
