Manic Mondays

Welcome to a new segment on my blog! I've been researching ALL weekend about how to make my blog better. Almost everything I read was what I already know but I haven't been applying it. I expect to get a lot of traffic but I don't put the effort into it. I want people to flock to my blog but I don't have a whole lot of what people want to look at on a consistent basis. I just used one word that is the entire problem... consistent. That word is my own worst enemy. I have to work so hard at being consistent that sometimes it's tiring. I'm determined to not let it beat me any longer!

So, what are Manic Mondays? I think it kind of speaks for itself. I don't think a whole lot of people look forward to this day of the week. It means the weekend is over and reality of the week is back. I don't alway have a hate for this day as I feel like it's kind of a start over. You know the whole "I'm going to wait til Monday" to ____________ <----- insert any thing there. Usually it's eating better, exercising, getting up earlier, etc. Okay, so those have been mine.

I am going to use Mondays to blog about our weekends. I will share what we did, projects I made, recipes I may have tried, etc. Anything that has to do with our family, my love for crafting or my love/hate relationship with being in the kitchen.

This past weekend was going to be busy but turned out to be rather slow. We stayed in on Friday night. The hubby bought 5 lbs of hamburger meat last week and instead of splitting it up in to 1 lb increments like we usually do we both forgot and it ended up freezing. Once we took it out to thaw, I knew I would have an abundance amount of meat to use. I ended up making a pot of spaghetti. I then went to my outside pantry where I found enough ingredients for a pot of chili. I still had meat left over so I went to Pinterest. I was able to find a recipe for Homemade Cheeseburger Macaroni at Farmgirl Gourmet. It turned out really good. I was so proud that I had every single ingredient in my pantry for all 3 recipes! That does not happen often. Time to restock and make sure I have all of the essentials again.

Caleb had a basketball game on Saturday. Let's just say it wasn't a good day for the team. None of them were on their A game. I think he was glad for it to be over and us to head home. We ended up missing an Easter egg hunt with friends. I hated to miss it as it is new people to meet for both Noah and myself. I will definitely make sure not to miss it next year.

Sunday was Easter. We woke up to both Chris and Caleb not feeling well. I had to cancel Easter lunch plans with my aunts family. I was very sad about it but once Noah opened his basket and we hunted for eggs my spirits were a lot better. We watched The Bible Series and The Passion Play all about the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus. I do love those movies!

Finishing up the post with some cute pictures of Noah in his cute bunny shirt and basket that I made all by myself!

I think all of the sugar and hunting for eggs tired him out. He slept for almost 3 hours! All in all it was a great Sunday. I enjoyed being with my family. We are all in different rooms so many times during the week that it's so nice to sit in the same room and just be together.

I hope you enjoy this segment on my blog. It may work or it may not. I am just working to do something different and attract more followers and friends. Let me know if you have any advice or comments. I appreciate anything anyone says.

Tomorrow will be a craft day and I'm calling it Tag Tuesday. I will showcase a tag for any occasions. It will be different every week. I'm excited about the possibilities. I haven't figured out every day for the week but I'm working on it.

Hopefully you will come back to visit soon.

Happy Stampin,
