Stampin' Up Workshop

Talk about an unbelievable start to my first workshop of the year. I've been a Stampin' Up demonstrator for almost a year. March 2 will be my year anniversary and I'm just now feeling like I have things going in the right direction. Truth to be told, I wasn't really putting my all in to it but I made a promise to myself and to my husband that I would put my all in to it. My husband has been so supportive through out any journey I take on and I don't want to let him down.

It's funny the people that God bring in to your life. You may not know why an individual enters your life until days, weeks, months or years later. When I met Claire, it was at a scrapbook retreat a year ago.  I knew within a few minutes of meeting her that we would be instant friends! She is one of the sweetest and most generous people I know. She also has one of the biggest hearts. Needless to say, I love her!

She has been so supportive of me, my company and my success with Stampin' Up. It may be that she has such a love for embossing folders far more than me but I'll take it either way. We scheduled my first workshop of the year at her house. It is 2 hours from me so our mutual friend, Pam and I turned it in to a long weekend. I loved being there with these two ladies who both teach me so much and I just love being in their company.

There ended up being 18 people that came to the workshop. I was so nervous the night before but by the time the morning arrived I felt confidant and ready to show these ladies that they could be crafty. We had 2 different sessions with 9 ladies each. I showed them 5 different techniques and then I let them try it all on their own. Claire found a card on Pinterest (http://lisacurcio.blogspot.com/2012/11/tea-for-two.html) and knew that her ladies would love it.

I love the designer paper, the colors and stamp set. We all had such a fun time with this card and I'm so glad she found it to showcase. All of the ladies loved the card. The look on their faces when they saw that they could stamp, use a punch and put it all together was so rewarding. Some of their eyes lit up when they stamped their word and it came out just right. It's so fun to teach people how to do things that I love to do as a hobby! The workshop was amazing and set an all time record for myself. It gave me the push that I needed and made me feel like I was on the right track! I loved that Claire and Pam believed in me and wanted to do all that they could to help me get my business going and succeed. Thanks to you both!
